Privacy Policy
Simple AI Club ("we") sells Simple Memory and runs simpleaiclub.com. This page explains what information we collect, what we do with it, and what we never see. Plain language, no tricks.
The short version
- Your memory lives in your own Notion account. We never see it.
- When you buy, Gumroad gives us your name and email. When you join the course list, your email goes to Kit, the tool we use to send email.
- If you accept cookies, we use the Meta Pixel to see which of our Facebook and Instagram ads work. If you decline, it stays off. More on that below.
- We never see your card details, and we don't sell your name or email.
Your memory (Simple Memory itself)
Simple Memory is a set of instructions your AI uses to build pages in your own Notion account. Everything it saves stays in your Notion. We have no access to your Notion account or your conversations with your AI. Claude (made by Anthropic) and Notion handle that information under their own privacy policies, so it's worth reading those too.
When you buy
Checkout is handled by Gumroad, which processes your payment. Gumroad shares your name, email address and purchase details with us. Your card details go to Gumroad and its payment processors, never to us. Gumroad's own privacy policy covers what it collects.
We use your email to:
- Send you the product and anything you need to set it up
- Answer you when you contact us
- Send updates to Simple Memory, and news from Simple AI Club like new tools and courses
You can unsubscribe from updates and news at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing us. We'll stop within 10 business days, and usually much sooner.
When you join the course list
The form on this site sends your email address to Kit (kit.com), the company that keeps our list and sends our emails. We use it to send you news about the course and Simple AI Club, and any free guides we make for the list. Kit shows us whether you opened an email or clicked a link in it, and a rough location if it has one. Every email has a link to leave the list. You can also email [email protected]. We stop within 10 business days, and usually right away. Kit's own privacy policy covers what Kit does with information.
When you email us
If you write to [email protected], we keep your message so we can help you and follow up.
This website
When you visit this site, a few other companies receive basic technical information (like your IP address and browser type) so the page can work:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and keeps it secure.
- Google Fonts provides the fonts the page uses.
- Gumroad: its checkout script loads on our sales page so the checkout window can open, and it may set its own cookies.
Your browser also remembers your cookie choice, so we don't ask every time.
Ads and the Meta Pixel
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To see which ads work, we use the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram).
On this site, the pixel only turns on if you accept cookies. If you decline, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, it stays off. You can change your choice anytime with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page.
When it's on, the pixel can tell Meta things like which pages you viewed, whether you clicked to buy, and technical details like your IP address and browser. Our Gumroad checkout pages may also send purchase information to Meta, which can include your email in a coded form that Meta can match to your Facebook or Instagram account. Meta uses this to measure our ads and to show our ads to people likely to be interested, and it may use it under its own policies. We never see your Facebook or Instagram activity.
You can also limit this:
- Change your ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account (Accounts Center, then Ad preferences)
- Block third-party cookies or use a tracker blocker in your browser
Using the pixel to measure and show ads may count as "sharing" for advertising under some state privacy laws. If you'd like us to exclude you, decline cookies or email [email protected].
Do Not Track
Our site doesn't respond to the older "Do Not Track" browser setting, because there's no common standard for it. We do treat a Global Privacy Control signal as declining cookies for ads.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your name or email
- Give advertisers your email in a form they can read
- Look at your Notion or your AI conversations
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.
Age
Simple Memory is for adults 18 and older, the same as Claude. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
